Technical Characteristics

Product based on special cements, selected aggregates, fibers, and additives.

Advantages and Uses

  • Indoor floor levelling.
  • High mechanic resistance.
  • High resistance to abrasion.
  • Excellent levelling qualities.
  • Fast setting.
  • Up to 10 mm thickness.
  • Suitable for radiant heating where levelling on previous screed is needed.

Suitable Substrates

  • Concrete, mortar screeds and similar elements.
  • Substrates must be resistant, stable, sound and clean, free of dust, demolding agents, organic products, etc.
  • Apply Paviland Primer R to avoid the formation of air bubbles in the mortar and improve its adhesion to the substrate.
  • If necessary, prepare the surface by mechanical means, to eliminate the laitance and get the adequate porosity.
  • Before the application of NIVELAND 10R, holes and/or cracks in the support must be properly repaired using the adequate products of the Paviland or Morcemrest range.
  • Before applying the mortar, make sure that residual moisture is below the limit  (less than 3%).

Application Procedure

  • Mix the product with water (4.5-5.0 liters per 25 kg bag) with a mechanical mixer at low speed (500 rpm approximately) until getting a homogeneous paste without lumps. The exact water dosage is especially important to avoid product segregation, increased shrinkage, and reduced strength.
  • Let the mixture stand for 2 minutes and remix.
  • The pot life of the mortar is 20 minutes, depending on the
  • Pour the mixed product on the base to be set and spread with a levelling trowel weather conditions..
  • The recommended thickness is 2 – 10 mm. applied in one coat.

Recommendations

  • Do not apply in temperatures under 5ºC nor above 30ºC.
  • Do not apply when there is a risk of frost, strong wind or direct sun.
  • Not recommended for exterior use.
  • Do not apply on floor with humidity or with a risk of having it.
  • Once the product has been mixed and the resting time has occurred, do not add additional water.   Keep in mind the workability time of the product when planning  the work.
  • For floors larger than 20 m2 or longer than 10 lineal meters, it is advisable to make partitioning joints, delimiting panels with 6 mm joints that can be sealed with PUMALASTIC MS or PU.
  • Movement joints on the original substrate must be respected and perimitral joints made.
  • The surface coat must be protected from drying too quickly, especially in conditions with high temperatures and/or strong winds.
  • Before laying the final flooring check the residual humidity of the floor and confirm it is adequate for the type of flooring to be installed.
  • The NIVELAND 10R must be covered, as it is not suitable for leaving exposed.

Packaging and Storage

25 kg plastic-lined paper bags.
6 months in sealed original packaging, sheltered from weather conditions and humidity.
